Four rows of six is 24. So 24 shared into 4 rows is 6.

- Rows and columns of equal groups.
- Fact family
- A set of number facts that use the same three numbers.
- Product
- The answer when you multiply.
Worked example
e.g. What is 24 divided by 4?
- Draw 24 in 4 equal rows.
- Count how many are in one row. There are 6.
- Ask a times question instead. 4 times what makes 24?
- 4 x 6 = 24. So 24 divided by 4 = 6.

Counting one by one.
That is slow. Use the fact you already know.
